The Byron R. White Center is proud to present the Thirteenth Annual John Paul Stevens Lecture on Thursday, October 24th. This year's guest jurist will be The Honorable Stephen A. Higginson from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Judge Higginson's lecture is titled The Nuremberg Trials: Lessons for the Law Students, Lawyers, and Judges. He is the first former law clerk to Justice Byron R. White to deliver the Stevens Lecture.

Judge Higginson will discuss his research into the Nuremberg Trials and explain the contemporary and continuing relevance of the Nuremberg Trials, and the lessons that advocates and judges can draw from that landmark proceedings of the International Military Tribunal. Judge Higginson's lecture will be followed by a conversation with Professor Deep Gulasekaram, Director of the Byron R. White Center for the Study of American Constitutional Law, and an audience Q&A.
