DESCRIPTION:Retired federal appellate court Judge Tatel will discuss the co
 urts\, his life in the law\, and his recent memoir\, Vision: A Memoir of Bl
 indness and Justice. As former civil rights lawyer\, Judge Tatel litigated 
 cases involving integration of public schools\, legal aid for indigent clie
 nts\, and Title IX cases. His service on the D.C. Circuit\, form 1994 until
  2024\, was marked by several high-profile opinions in environmental cases\
 , court access for Guantanamo Bay detainees\, voting rights and disability 
 rights issues. He was perennially considered a candidate for nomination to 
 the U.S. Supreme Court. Judge Tatel’s personal and professional lives were 
 also profoundly influenced by losing his sight\, an impairment he hid early
  in his career before embracing it later in life. \n\n \n\nPlease RSVP at t
