Join students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members for an important discussion on mental health, resilience, and ethics in the legal field. Professionals with backgrounds in mental health, counseling, student affairs, and legal ethics will share about the importance of caring for your mental health in the demanding and high-stress legal field, tactics to support wellbeing, overcoming barriers to seeking mental health support including the character and fitness portion of the attorney admission process, and mental health resources available to law students and practicing attorneys. Registration requested for lunch ordering purposes, but not required. 

 

  • For in person attendance, parking will be provided for speakers and alumni and lunch will be provided for all attendees. Parking details will be sent out the day before the event. 
  • For virtual attendance, a Zoom link will be emailed out the day before.

 

One general CLE credit and one ethics CLE credit are approved for Colorado attorneys and judges.

Objectives:

  • Learn barriers that prevent law students and practicing attorneys from accessing mental health support.
  • Identify practices to help mitigate and cope with the impacts of stress.
  • Learn about the intersection of mental health access and the bar exam.
  • Learn about resources for law students or practicing attorneys seeking mental health support.
