Event Description:

Join Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Monica Márquez, Colorado Law School's Offices of Student Affairs and Advancement, Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS), and the Boothby and Buck families for a discussion on mental health and wellness in law school and the legal profession. This event is intended for law students, alumni, faculty, staff, and attorneys, and will be presented in a hybrid format on Wednesday, February 19 from 12:00pm-12:50pm. Lunch and parking provided by the Boothby family in remembrance of Ashley Boothby, a 2013 graduate of Colorado Law.

Objectives:

  • Learn barriers that prevent law students and practicing attorneys from accessing mental health support.

  • Identify practices to help mitigate and cope with the impacts of stress.

  • Learn about the intersection of mental health access and the bar exam.

  • Learn about resources for law students or practicing attorneys seeking mental health support.
