About this Event
Transactional attorneys often wish they'd known a number of things earlier in their careers: which courses to take during law school, where and how to network, how to learn about business and future clients, and how to position oneself for a transactional career.
Now in its seventeenth year, this program has proven very popular with attendees. The core of the event is small group break-out sessions. The event will feature experienced transactional attorneys and business people. Students will meet with the guests in small groups and will rotate from one guest expert to the next every 15 minutes (kind of like speed dating). This approach gives students an opportunity to ask direct questions and learn from a variety of transactional lawyers and business people while building their professional networks.
The event provides helpful information about what transactional lawyers do, flexible ways to use your JD outside of traditional jobs, and what Colorado Law offerings exist in the area. This event is highly recommended for students - especially 1Ls and 2Ls - interested in transactional law, policy work, in-house counsel and business career paths. Even if you have previously attended, this is a great way to continue to build your professional network, so you are definitely welcome to attend again.
