About this Event
Wintersession Trial Advocacy (LAWS 6109)
2 credits, January 6-10, 2025
Class Signup Details:
A) Priority will be given first to students who plan to graduate in May 2025, then to students who have previously communicated with the Law Registrar that they plan to graduate in December 2025, and then to other students.
B) Wintersession courses do not count towards the 18-credit spring semester credit cap. Students who are paying spring semester tuition (for ten or more credits for financial aid purposes for JD students) will pay no additional tuition for this course. Taking this class and a total of 18 credits for the full semester is acceptable, but my no means required. Students thusly complete a total of 20 credits spring term if they take Trial Advocacy and 18 credits spring semester. LLM students have a different tuition structure and should make sure they communcate with JJ Ilseng about their interest in this course.
C) Students can take only one wintersession course.
D) Trial Advocacy is an experiential learning course and will count towards the experiential learning graduation requirement. It is NOT part of the 14-credit cap.
E) Signup no later than 10/25 at 9am here. I will turn off the signup for this class promptly at 9am, so if you miss the deadline you are free to join the waitlist when course registration opens (usually around Thanksgiving Break). Pay attention to this deadline if you want to take this class. Make sure you fully submit the form and receive a confirmation email. If you did not receive one, your form was not received and you should go back into the form.
