The CDO invites you to build your interviewing skills by participating in its Summer Mock Interview program. The ability to interview well is an essential skill you can learn and refine through practice and feedback. Employers interviewing job candidates over virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Flo Recruit is now a standard and widespread practice.
The CDO anticipates most of our 2025 OCI-participating employers – regardless of organization type or size, will conduct at least their screening interviews virtually. Similarly, public interest employers interviewing at the fall Equal Justice Works career fair will hold virtual interviews. Many of you may also have job interviews outside of structured job application programs. Our Summer Mock Interview program will help you engage in your future job interviews with confidence, regardless of whether you are pursuing public or private sector opportunities.
This mock interview program is open to rising 2L and rising 3L students. The registration deadline is June 6, 2025. Mock interviews will take place over the Zoom platform on dates and times between June 30 and July 11. We have invited attorneys from a range of practice areas and types to serve as mock interviewers. We hope to match each participating student with an attorney who works in a practice area or setting of interest to the student. Please note if student demand exceeds the available supply of interview slots, students who did not participate in the Spring Mock Interview Program will be given priority.
